All services are tailored based on the information you provide. It is your responsibility to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date details for us to deliver the best possible results.

2. Payment and Pricing

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Currency conversion may be shown based on your location for convenience.

Payment must be made in full before services or products are delivered. We accept secure payment via our website through Stripe, PayPal, and other approved gateways.

3. Delivery

For CV and writing services, we aim to deliver your first draft within 2 working days, or 24 hours if you have selected the express service.

For digital products, including online courses and templates, delivery is instant via email or your account dashboard upon successful payment.

Delays caused by incomplete or missing information will not be our responsibility.

If you purchase the optional CV review service by Richard McMunn, please note that this may extend the usual turnaround time. While we aim to deliver your first draft within 48 hours, reviews conducted personally by Richard may take slightly longer due to demand. We appreciate your patience and will always keep you updated.

4. Revisions

All CV writing services include unlimited revisions for 12 months from the date of purchase. Revision requests must relate to the original order and brief. Major rewrites or new roles outside the scope of the original CV may require a new service fee.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the personalised nature of our services, we do not offer automatic refunds once work has begun.

Refunds are not issued for digital downloads or online course access unless there is a proven issue with access or the product is faulty.

If you’re unhappy with the initial draft of a service, please contact us and we’ll work with you through our revision process to resolve any issues.

Refund requests made prior to work commencing may be considered at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

Once full payment is received, you own the rights to the final CV and related documents we deliver. Digital products such as templates and guides are licensed for personal use only and must not be shared, resold, or redistributed.

We retain the right to use anonymised versions of CVs for internal training, quality control, or portfolio samples unless you request otherwise.

7. Data Use and Privacy

Your personal information and CV data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described.

We may also use your contact information to send marketing emails and promotional offers related to our products and services, only where you have opted in to receive such communications. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email or contacting us directly.

These Affiliate Programme Terms and Conditions govern participation in the CVMadeEasy.co.uk affiliate programme, referral programme, partner programme or any similar commission-based referral arrangement operated by CV Made Easy.

By joining, using, promoting, referring customers to, or receiving commissions from the CV Made Easy affiliate programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you must not participate in the affiliate programme.

Plain-English summary:
Our affiliate programme lets customers and approved commercial partners earn Commission for referring genuine customers to CV Made Easy. Commission is only paid on valid, completed and approved sales. We do not pay Commission on refunded orders, chargebacks, self-referrals, fraudulent referrals, tracking errors, pricing errors, currency conversion mistakes or sales generated in breach of these terms. Affiliates must promote us honestly, disclose affiliate links clearly, follow advertising and data protection rules, and avoid misleading claims. We may remove any Affiliate or withhold Commission at our discretion if we believe there has been a breach, error, misuse or risk to our business.

“Qualifying Sale” means a genuine, completed, fully paid and valid purchase by a new or eligible customer that is correctly tracked, not cancelled, not refunded, not charged back, not fraudulent, not self-referred, not generated in breach of these Terms, and approved by us at our sole discretion.

2. Purpose of the Affiliate Programme

The CV Made Easy Affiliate Programme allows approved Affiliates to earn Commission by referring eligible customers to CVMadeEasy.co.uk.

The programme is designed for both:

a. existing customers who wish to refer friends, family members, colleagues or contacts; and
b. Commercial Affiliates who wish to promote CV Made Easy through websites, blogs, email lists, videos, social media, paid campaigns, business networks, professional recommendations or other approved channels.

Participation in the Affiliate Programme is a privilege, not a right. We reserve full discretion to approve, reject, suspend, remove or terminate any Affiliate at any time.

3. Acceptance of These Terms

You are deemed to accept these Terms if you:

a. sign up to the Affiliate Programme;
b. are automatically enrolled as a customer referrer;
c. use an affiliate link, referral link, coupon or code;
d. promote CV Made Easy in return for potential Commission;
e. request or receive a Commission payment;
f. access an affiliate dashboard; or
g. otherwise participate in the Affiliate Programme.

If you are participating on behalf of a company, partnership, agency, organisation or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Automatic Enrolment of Customers

CV Made Easy may automatically enrol customers into the Affiliate Programme so that they can refer others and potentially earn Commission.

Automatic enrolment does not guarantee that a customer will receive Commission. Any Commission remains subject to these Terms, successful tracking, approval by us, and the referred sale being a Qualifying Sale.

Customers who do not wish to participate may simply choose not to use their referral link or may contact us to request removal from the programme.

We reserve the right to remove any automatically enrolled customer from the Affiliate Programme at any time and for any reason.

5. Commercial Affiliate Applications

Commercial entities may apply to join the Affiliate Programme.

We may accept or reject any application at our sole discretion. We are not required to provide reasons for rejection.

We may consider factors including, but not limited to:

a. the applicant’s website, brand, audience or business model;
b. promotional methods;
c. reputation and compliance history;
d. whether the applicant’s content aligns with CV Made Easy;
e. risk of brand damage;
f. data protection compliance;
g. advertising compliance;
h. fraud risk;
i. conflicts of interest;
j. previous disputes; and
k. any other factor we consider relevant.

Approval into the Affiliate Programme does not create any partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, agency relationship, franchise relationship or legal representation arrangement between you and CV Made Easy.

6. Our Absolute Discretion

We reserve the right, at our sole and absolute discretion, to:

a. approve or reject any Affiliate;
b. accept or reject any referral;
c. determine whether a sale is a Qualifying Sale;
d. determine whether Commission is payable;
e. reverse, cancel, reduce, delay or withhold Commission;
f. amend Commission rates;
g. change tracking methods;
h. pause or close the Affiliate Programme;
i. remove any Affiliate from the programme;
j. cease working with any Affiliate at any time;
k. refuse payment where we reasonably believe there has been an error, breach, abuse, fraud, misrepresentation, refund, chargeback or non-compliant activity; and
l. make final decisions in relation to disputes, tracking issues, commission eligibility and programme interpretation.

You acknowledge that our decision on affiliate eligibility, Commission eligibility and programme participation is final.

7. No Guaranteed Participation or Earnings

Participation in the Affiliate Programme does not guarantee that you will earn any Commission.

We make no guarantee regarding:

a. the number of customers you may refer;
b. conversion rates;
c. sales volume;
d. Commission amounts;
e. acceptance of referrals;
f. continuity of the programme; or
g. future payment opportunities.

Any earnings examples, dashboard figures, projected earnings, or estimated Commission amounts are illustrative only and are not binding until reviewed and approved by us.

8. Commission Rates

Commission rates may be set by us from time to time and may vary depending on the Affiliate, campaign, product, customer type, promotional method, commercial arrangement or other factor.

Commission may be calculated as:

a. a fixed amount per Qualifying Sale;
b. a percentage of net revenue;
c. a store credit;
d. a one-off referral reward;
e. a promotional bonus; or
f. another amount agreed by us in writing.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the standard Commission payable under the CV Made Easy Affiliate Programme is a flat fee of £15 per Qualifying Sale.

Commission is payable per order, not per product, service, package, add-on or item purchased. This means that if a referred customer purchases more than one product or service within the same order, only one £15 Commission will be payable for that order, provided it is approved by us as a Qualifying Sale.

Where an order is placed in a currency other than GBP, the Commission payable will be based on the GBP equivalent or our chosen currency conversion method at the time of review or payment. We reserve the right to determine the applicable exchange rate, conversion method and final Commission amount at our discretion.

Commission is not calculated as a percentage of the order value unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

Commission will only be payable on genuine, completed, fully paid and approved Qualifying Sales. No Commission will be payable on refunded, cancelled, charged back, fraudulent, duplicate, self-referred, incorrectly tracked or otherwise invalid orders.

If an order is partially refunded, discounted, adjusted, affected by a pricing error, affected by a currency conversion error, or otherwise amended after purchase, we may reduce, cancel, reverse or withhold the Commission at our discretion.

We may change Commission rates at any time. Changes may include increasing, reducing, removing or replacing the flat fee Commission structure. Changes may apply to future referrals, existing Affiliates, particular Affiliate groups, particular campaigns, particular products, particular territories, particular currencies or the programme as a whole.

9. Qualifying Sales

A sale will only qualify for Commission if all of the following conditions are met:

a. the customer uses a valid Referral Link, referral code or approved tracking method;
b. the sale is properly tracked by our systems or accepted by us manually;
c. the customer completes payment in full;
d. the customer does not cancel the order;
e. the customer does not receive a refund;
f. the payment is not reversed, disputed or charged back;
g. the sale is not fraudulent, suspicious, artificial or self-generated;
h. the Affiliate has not breached these Terms;
i. the Affiliate has complied with all applicable laws and advertising requirements;
j. the sale is not the result of misleading, aggressive, unlawful, unethical or prohibited marketing; and
k. we approve the sale as a Qualifying Sale.

We reserve the right to decide whether a sale is a Qualifying Sale.

10. Non-Qualifying Sales

Commission will not be payable on any sale that we determine, at our discretion, to be non-qualifying.

Examples of non-qualifying sales include, but are not limited to:

a. refunded orders;
b. cancelled orders;
c. partially refunded orders, where we decide Commission should be reduced or removed;
d. chargebacks;
e. failed payments;
f. fraudulent transactions;
g. test orders;
h. duplicate orders;
i. orders placed using stolen, false or misleading information;
j. orders generated through spam;
k. orders generated through misleading claims;
l. orders generated through prohibited paid advertising;
m. self-referrals;
n. referrals from the Affiliate’s own household, business or controlled entities, unless approved by us in writing;
o. referrals where the customer was already known to us, already in our sales process, or already attributed to another channel;
p. referrals where tracking failed and we cannot reasonably verify attribution;
q. orders affected by technical error, pricing error, currency conversion error or platform error;
r. orders where the Affiliate breached these Terms;
s. orders generated using unauthorised discount codes, voucher sites or coupon tactics;
t. orders generated through brand bidding or impersonation;
u. orders from prohibited territories or customers, if applicable; and
v. any order we reasonably consider invalid, abusive, non-compliant or unsuitable.

11. Pricing Errors, Currency Errors and Mistakes

We reserve the right to cancel, reverse, reduce, refuse or withhold Commission where a sale, price, payment, order value, discount, currency conversion, tax calculation, affiliate tracking record, dashboard figure or Commission calculation is affected by an error.

This includes, but is not limited to:

a. incorrect product pricing;
b. accidental discounting;
c. incorrect coupon application;
d. currency conversion errors;
e. payment processor errors;
f. website display errors;
g. affiliate dashboard errors;
h. duplicate tracking;
i. incorrect order attribution;
j. incorrect Commission percentage;
k. technical mistakes;
l. human error;
m. software bugs;
n. data import errors;
o. incorrect VAT or tax handling; and
p. any other mistake that affects the amount payable.

If a customer receives a refund, partial refund, goodwill refund, cancellation, chargeback or price adjustment, we may cancel, reduce or recover any Commission linked to that transaction.

You acknowledge that affiliate dashboard figures may be provisional and may not represent sums legally due.

12. Refunds, Chargebacks and Reversals

If a referred customer receives a refund, raises a chargeback, disputes payment, cancels their order, fails to pay, or receives any form of price adjustment, Commission may be cancelled, reduced or reversed.

If Commission has already been paid to you in respect of a refunded, charged back, cancelled or invalid transaction, we may:

a. deduct the amount from future Commission;
b. request repayment;
c. offset the amount against any sums owed to you;
d. suspend future payouts; or
e. terminate your participation in the Affiliate Programme.

You agree to repay any overpaid, mistaken or invalid Commission on request.

13. Tracking and Attribution

We may use cookies, tracking links, discount codes, affiliate software, referral dashboards, manual attribution or other tracking methods.

Tracking is not guaranteed. We are not liable for lost Commission due to:

a. deleted cookies;
b. blocked cookies;
c. browser settings;
d. ad blockers;
e. privacy tools;
f. tracking prevention software;
g. incorrect use of links;
h. customer error;
i. technical issues;
j. platform outages;
k. expired cookies;
l. multiple affiliate links;
m. competing attribution channels;
n. manual checkout issues; or
o. any circumstance outside our reasonable control.

Where multiple Affiliates, channels or campaigns may have contributed to a sale, we reserve the right to determine attribution at our sole discretion.

Our records will be the primary basis for determining whether Commission is payable.

14. Cookie Duration

The cookie duration or referral tracking period may be set by us from time to time.

We may change the cookie duration at any time without notice.

A referral will not qualify for Commission if the customer purchases outside the tracking period, clears cookies, uses another referral link, uses a different device, or is otherwise not correctly attributed to you.

15. Payment Requests

Affiliates may request a payout once every three months, subject to any minimum payment threshold and subject to our review and approval.

Payment requests must be submitted through the method we specify, which may include email, affiliate dashboard request, online form or another process.

We will aim to process approved payout requests within 14 days of receiving a valid request. This is an aim only and not a guarantee.

Payment may be delayed where:

c. there are suspicious referrals;
d. account details are incomplete;
e. tax or identity information is missing;

No interest will be payable on delayed Commission payments.

You are responsible for providing accurate PayPal details or any other payment details requested by us.

We are not responsible for payments sent to incorrect details provided by you.

Any PayPal fees, bank fees, currency conversion fees, intermediary fees or payment processing deductions may be borne by you unless we agree otherwise.

We may refuse to pay using methods that are unavailable, unsafe, excessively costly, administratively burdensome or unsuitable.

17. Minimum Payment Threshold

We may apply a minimum payment threshold before Commission can be withdrawn.

The threshold may be stated in your affiliate dashboard, in programme communications, or otherwise notified by us.

If your unpaid Commission is below the threshold, it may roll over until the next eligible payout period.

We may change the minimum threshold at any time.

If the Affiliate Programme is closed, your account is terminated, or you are removed for breach, fraud, abuse or non-compliance, unpaid Commission may be forfeited at our discretion.

18. Tax Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, National Insurance, VAT, income tax, corporation tax, self-assessment obligations, reporting obligations and any other liabilities arising from Commission paid to you.

We do not provide tax advice.

If you are VAT registered or otherwise required to issue invoices, you are responsible for providing valid invoices and complying with applicable tax rules.

We may withhold payment until any required tax information, invoice, identity information or compliance documentation has been provided.

19. Invoices

We may require Commercial Affiliates to provide a valid invoice before payment is made.

Invoices must include all legally required information and must match the payment details held on the Affiliate account.
